This is such a perfect gift to give a friend expecting a baby, or a friend with a child already. If you haven’t grown up with this book in your life, now is the time to experience it. The illustrations vary from line cartoons to beautiful works of art. Simple stories that stay with you. From start to finish, this book has true character and will always be a cherished classic. I’m a child of the 70s - Richard Scarry books were always in our house, and still are.

This was a favorite book of both mine and my brothers when we were younger. I recently purchased it for my brother’s baby due in June and decided to purchase it for my baby also!!

This was my daughter’s favorite book. I’m so glad that I was able to remember the author’s name. My baby is now 30 and expecting her first child. I can hardly wait to read these stories to my grandchild. I can still remember my daughter’s baby voice calling the detective Coucous. It’s pure joy to read to a child, and the memories last a lifetime. I’m misting up just writing this.
